Barrington is a respectable fishing settlement, but its leading hotel would not receive a better character from a Nova-Scotian traveller than that of a "brown sugar" house. Those houses that are well-frequented are generally supplied with all the requisites for refreshment . . . amongst others, with the best loaf-sugar.
